Resumo

Diferentes fontes de fotoativação podem exercer influência nas propriedades das resinas compostas. Este estudo avaliou a nanodureza (ND), o módulo de elasticidade (ME) e grau de conversão monomérica (GC) de duas cores (A2 e WE) da resina composta nanoparticulada Z350XT (3M/ESPE) polimerizadas por duas unidades fotoativadoras (Bluephase, Ivoclar/Vivadent e VALO, Ultradent). Foram confeccionados 24 corpos de prova (CP) com matriz circular bipartida de polipropileno envolta por um anel de alumínio (5 mm x 2 mm). Os CP foram fotoativados com uma intensidade de luz de 1.200 mW/cm2 por 30 segundos e armazenados em estufa a 37o C, por 24 horas. Os ensaios de ND e ME foram realizados no nanodurômetro DUH211S Shimadzu, com força de 10 mN e tempo de espera de 0s e o ensaio de GC foi realizado no IR Prestige21 FTIR Shimadzu, considerando 20 varreduras, 2 cm-1 de resolução e comprimento de onda de 4000 a 400. Os dados foram analisados por ANOVA e Kruskall-Wallis (α=0,05). O grupo WV apresentou nanodureza superior, com diferença estatisticamente significante (p=0.0284). Os valores de ME não apresentaram resultados estatisticamente significantes tanto na comparação do efeito da cor (p=0.0975 e 0.0777) quanto na da fonte ativadora (p=0.2189 e 0.1814). Os resultados do GC mostraram-se muito semelhantes quando relacionados às duas variáveis. A polimerização com a unidade fotoativadora VALO determinou melhorias na nanodureza na resina para dentes clareados, não sendo o mesmo observado em relação ao grau de conversão monomérica e ao módulo de elasticidade.
